Who is Nikolett Delafraye?
"Growing up as the daughter of a writer and crafter, it's no surprise that my love for the arts began at a young age. I carried pencils and paper with me everywhere, and as other children played with stuffed animals, I spent my time drawing and illustrating. My passion for fine art only grew as I studied and practiced in school, and eventually attended a fine art high school in Budapest, where I even learned ceramics.
But it wasn't until I became a mother that my illustrations truly found a purpose. My daughter's requests for me to draw for her sparked the idea to create coloring books, and with the help of my talented photographer husband, we've since published a series of three coloring books: 'Colors of Daydreams,' 'Colors of Autumn,' and 'Colors of Christmas.'
Currently, I'm delving into children's literature, illustrating a series of instructional fables set to release in December 2022.
Creating art has always been an emotional outlet for me, but seeing others bring my illustrations to life through their own unique color palettes is truly special. It brings me joy to know that my art is not only a source of inspiration and creativity but also a way to bring a sense of calm and accomplishment into people's lives in these chaotic times. I believe art has the power to transport us to new realms, free from war and insanity, and I'm honored to be able to share that with others through my illustrations.
I wish you all the best and fun in your coloring journey."
